Agency Costs
Our
standard package and our special package costs includes
replacement. This fee includes the work permit, the first
medical check-up, insurance, and other costs to bring
the maid in for 2 years. The maid will receive life /
accident coverage of $10,000. Additional insurance coverage
is available upon request. A downpayment is payable at
the outset of the application and the remainder upon the
maid's arrival.
>
A maid you know?
If
an employer already knows of a maid whom they wish to
employ, we can assist with the process. The maid's particulars
and overseas contact number will need to be given to us.
The total cost would be about 30% less than the combined
cost paid by the employer and maid in a normal package.
>
Wages & Entitlements
Filipino
maids receive a higher wage than Indonesian maids; while
maids with previous experience also recieve a higher salary.
After each two-year contract your maid is entitled to
home leave and an airfare paid for by the employer. During
her contract the maid is also entitled to medical treatment
with the cost borne by the employer.
>
Government Bond
A
bond of $5,000 is also needed. This amount need not be
paid up-front. Instead arrangements will be made for a
banker's guarantee to be issued. The employer, however,
remains responsible for the amount and will be obliged
to make good on it should the bond be forfeited. This
may happen in situations where the employer uses the maid
in a commercial rather than a domestic situation.
Amounts
indicated are subject to change, please call us for further
information.
>
Government Levy
The
government imposes a monthly wage levy on employers. This
is paid via Giro deduction to the CPF Board.
>
Renewals
If
your maid has agreed to continue in your employment, just
contact Worthy Workers and we will advise you on the procedure.
We can assist with submitting the renewal application
and booking a reasonably priced airfare for you. Your
maid is entitled to an airticket to return for home leave.
While she is on leave, the CPF Board should be informed
to waive the levy.
Typically
it would take about a week for your application to be
completed, submitted and processed. Upon approval it would
then take about two weeks for the maid to arrive in Singapore
complete her medical exam, receive her work permit and
enter your household. In best case situations the entire
process might take only one week.
